Calcium Carbonate (PCC)
Important features of MicroMarble
Carbonate calcium have certain features as such as:
- Increased strength of crushed grains
- Increased calcium content (more than 99,5%), in other words, there are few undesirable impurities – coloring oxides of iron, titanium, manganese, cobalt, and therefore a small amount of water-soluble salts (less than 100 mg/l in Ca2+)
- Minimum porosity
- High indicator of witnesses
- Strong refraction
- Strong resistance to ultraviolet radiation
- Active dissolution in mineral acids.
In comparing with the others fillers (kaolins, silicates, silica) carbonate calcium is different for its high-level of whiteness.

Chemically purified calcium carbonate with a content of calcium carbonate CaCO3
≥98% Precipitated Calcium Carbonate (PCC) molecular weight-100.9 (by international atomic mass)
PCC Precipitated Calcium Carbonate is a highly dispersed white powder obtained by carbonation of calcareous milk with carbon dioxide. Chemical purity, absence of impurities, specified morphology and controlled particle distribution make this product a universal amorphous filler, which increases the efficiency of its use.
Scope of application:
1.1 Pharmacology-Medicines. It is included in the database of medicines that compensate for the lack of calcium and antacids.
1.2 Cosmetics industry - Functional filler, pigment. It is used for the production of toothpastes and powders, decorative cosmetics, face and hand skin care products.
Chemical characteristics of РСС:
• Whiteness is not less than 98.0%
• The mass fraction of calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate in terms of
calcium carbonate not less than 98.5%
